Let's spend a wonderful night at Wewatenna Camping Site

There are many places in Sri Lanka where camping can be done. One of the most famous of these is the Wewatenna Campground. This place is located very close to Medamahanuwara town in Kandy district. This land is about 850 meters above sea level and was reserved for tea cultivation at that time. The tea plantations in the area were later destroyed and more recently opened to tourism.The camp we are talking about today is located on the southern slope of the Knuckles Mountains. After a short distance you will come across a junction where one road goes towards Bomure and the other towards Rajagala. You have to take the Rajagala road to go to the tank. This can be easily found on Google Maps and if it is difficult to find the route, ask the locals for directions. After 5-6 km on the Rajagala Road, you will pass the Woodside Old Tea Factory and reach the destination, the tank. So do not come here expecting to bathe. From here, you can see part of Victoria Reservoir, as well as the city of Hunnasgiriya and the surrounding mountains, the Walapane area and the surrounding mountains. The view of the sunset in the evening is a beautiful one. It's great to photograph the area. Here you can find a wonderful inspiration for camping at night. There are many places that have been told to build camps. Also up to 200-300 people can camp at once. The lake is often foggy in the morning. That morning was a wonderful day, too.
